There is a story seldom told
That tells of a sacrifice of a star
It burnt out it's light and shines no more
It's known as the Christmas Evening Star

Once long ago there shone a star
That gave all it's light in one single night
To guide those who came from near and far
The door to it's heart was held ajar

Shepherds and fishermen with gifts and good things
Came walking a road in new driven cards
And through the night there came three kings
Compheld by the Christmas Evening Star

They came to a stable where a star
Was bathed in a shower of golden rays
And silence and peace came over all
Who saw where in sleep the Christ child lay

And every child born since
Was born with the ray of light buried in it's heart
And each of those smal;l rays of light
Came from the star that christmas night

Silence and peace came over all
Who saw where in sleep the Christ child lay
